Only six days left until the start of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships

The countdown continues, only 6 days to go until the start of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships in Sri Lanka’s busy capital city.
Several of the developing Asian National Federations including Cambodia, Bangladesh, Yemen, Syria, Palestine, Afghanistan and Iraq confirmed their participation in the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships.
The host Sri Lankans will compete with record number of 33 boxers in the championships and their team is planning to make a strong impact in the competition.
The event period of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships in the city of Colombo, Sri Lanka is between May 10 and 24. The Sport Entries Checks, the Technical Meeting and the Official Draw will take place in the Cinnamon Red Hotel in Colombo.
The first competition day of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships will take place in Colombo on May 12 while the finals are scheduled to be held in two last sessions on May 22 and 23.
The referees and judges, furthermore the officials have been already appointed to the championships. There will be ITO Course also during the competition period of the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships on May 12-15.
The President of the International Boxing Association, Mr. Umar Kremlev will support the ASBC Asian U22 & Youth Boxing Championships with prize money in the amount of 100 000 USD.
The competition venue will be the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo which has all facilities to make the event into a memorable one in the history of the events.
The boxers who were born in 2003, 2004, 2005 and in 2006 will be eligible to participate in the U22 age group in Colombo.
The boxers who are members of the 2007 and 2008 age groups will have the right to compete in the youth part of the busy championships.

May 18 – Day7 competition
May 19 – Rest Day
May 20 – Day8 competition with the semi-finals
May 21 – Day9 competition with the semi-finals
May 22 – Day10 competition with the finals
May 23 – Day11 competition with the finals
May 24 – Departures of the delegations
