Nepal’s former President Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari visited the EFS Fight Night

Nepal’s next boxing gala, the EFS Fight Night was a great success in the Erawan Fight Stadium with prominent special guests.
The capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu hosted several National Championships, National Games, regional competitions in the recent years and also the 2019 edition of the South Asian Games which generated strong development in the country.
The former President of Nepal, Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari also visited the EFS Fight Night in the Erawan Fight Stadium increasing the importance of the event. She was the second President of Nepal between 2015 and 2023 and the first woman who held that position. Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari served Nepal as Minister of Defence and Minister of Environment and Population in the past.
Three bouts featured in this specific boxing gala during the EFS Fight Night which celebrated our sport in the developing country.
Ramisha Shrestha and Tribhuvan Army Boxing Club’s Aarati Bomjan both are members of the national team. They are strong rivals and the bout between them was also the next selection for the upcoming championships. Bomjan, who represented Nepal at the last ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships, is a technician boxer but Shrestha had the speed and the strength to win their amazing contest.
H2O Boxing Club’s Lal Prasad Upreti competed in the last two editions of the ASBC Asian U22 Boxing Championships in Bangkok and in Astana, furthermore in the 2024 ASBC Asian Elite Boxing Championships in Chiang Mai. The flyweight boxer controlled all of the rounds in each scorecard against Tribhuvan Army Boxing Club’s Namaraj Shahi in the EFS Fight Night.
Chhiring Wangdi Sherpa was member of the Nepali boxing team at the 2022 ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships and other international competitions. The lightweight (60kg) boxer is one of the youngest ones in their elite national squad but he had the boxing knowledge to beat H2O’s Chhewang Tamang.
