New women boxers put themselves to the spotlight in Kyzyl-Orda

Aiym Tankibayeva, Aknur Tursyngali and Evnika Sadvakasova won the top female finals at the Kazakhstan Youth National Sports Games in the city of Kyzyl-Orda.
The city of Kyzyl-Orda is located in south-central Kazakhstan and it is the capital of the region with the population of more than 300,000 inhabitants.
Kazakhstan’s Andrei Yeskin Youth Memorial, the Ibraimov Prizes Women’s Tournament, the Adriatic Pearl Youth Tournament and the Bekzat Sattarkhanov Youth Memorial were preparation competitions for the Youth National Sports Games.
Altogether 96 female and 218 male boxers competed in the Kazakhstan Youth Sports Games in Kyzyl-Orda to earn the 25 medals. The 2007 and 2008 born boxers were eligible to participate in the competition which will be a strong selection event for this age group.
Almaty’s Ayaulym Nurlankyzy joined the youth age group this January and she became the first gold medallist in Kyzyl-Orda where she defeated Karagandy region’s Ayzhan Murat at the women’s minimumweight (48kg).
Turkestan region’s Asian Junior silver medallist Aiym Tankibayeva had to meet her main national rival, Sila Bybolsynkyzy of Zhetysu region in the final of the light flyweight (50kg). The 16-year-old Tankibayeva knew her opponent’s weak points very well and she defeated Bybolsynkyzy in a world-class battle.
Shymkent’s Zhadira Kaltay was born also in 2008 as Nurlankyzy and Tankibayeva but she bagged the gold medal at the flyweight (52kg). Top names competed at the bantamweight (54kg) and among them, Zhamilya Bolatbekkyzy stepped into the top of the podium after beating Atyrau region’s Junior World bronze medallist Gaukhar Zarden.
Abay’s best female boxer, Aknur Tursyngali delighted the crowd with her performance in Kyzyl-Orda and she was still enough fresh to beat Ayganym Kadyrkhan in the final. Pavlodar region’s Evnika Sadvakasova won the next buy category, the lightweight (60kg), while the ASBC Asian Junior Champion Tolganay Kassymkhan achieved only bronze this time.
Karagandy region’s Alina Kudaygenova was too strong for all of the boxers at the light welterweight (63kg) while the Adriatic Pearl Youth winner Akbota Yessimbekova of Astana dominated the welterweight (66kg) final.
Mariya Sidorenko was member of the youth national team in 2024 and she defeated all of her rivals by RSC in the Games. Two experienced boxers achieved the gold medals in the heaviest categories as Kuralay Yegibaikyzy (81kg) and Panar Seitkhankyzy (+81kg).
