Five Asian countries are participating at the Boxam Tournament in Spain
The new edition of the Boxam Tournament opened with its Technical Meeting and Official Draw before the first competition day. The Asians are using this international elite competition as active preparations for the upcoming big championships.
The competition period of the Boxam Elite Tournament is February 4-8 in La Nucia, Alicante region, Spain where 17 countries are participating for the titles.
The traditional Boxam Tournament is one of the opening competitions in the year of 2025 and a strong preparation event for all of the boxers. Before the event, the teams participated in an international pre-training camp where world class boxers were on the board.
The participating teams will be accommodated in the tourism paradise city in Benidorm which has beautiful sea, excellent weather and many attractions. The Hotel Melia Benidorm is a well-equipped accommodation for the teams and the food and the rooms are top quality.
Altogether 166 female and male boxers are participating at the Boxam Tournament in the sunny Alicante region in La Nucia. The best of the Asians have strong chance to earn several titles and medals in this international competition.
Bangladesh competes in the Boxam Tournament for the very first time, their US-based Zinnat Ferdous will participate at the women’s light flyweight (50kg) in La Nucia.
China sent a strong team to the competition, their Xinjiang-based boxers are ready to win titles in La Nucia including their World silver medallist Tuohetaerbieke Tanglatihan (80kg).
Kazakhstan brought a huge delegation to the Boxam Tournament including several young future stars in their line-ups with Asian Youth and U22 heroes.
Kyrgyzstan arrived to the competition venue already on Sunday to acclimatize to the local environment and their team contains also the multiple ASBC medallist veteran Erkin Adylbek Uulu (86kg).
Palestine competed in the Boxam Tournament last year as well and their best hopes returned to the competition with female and male boxers as well.
The Boxam Tournament will be live streamed in the official YouTube channel of the Royal Spanish Boxing Federation from Tuesday.
