Oysha Toirova was the youngest female winner at the Uzbekistan Elite National Championships

All of the favourites won the women’s titles at the Uzbekistan Elite National Championships in Tashkent where the 18-year-old Oysha Toirova was the youngest winner.

The Uzbekistan Elite National Championships was a selection competition for the main events in 2025 which looks another busy year for all of the boxers.

Bukhara’s ASBC Asian Elite Champion Farzona Fozilova is only 21 but she claimed the title at the women’s minimumweight (48kg) after beating Tashkent’s teenager Robiyakhon Bakhtiyorova in their final meeting.

The Asian U22 Champion and the Paris Olympian Sabina Bobokulova is smaller than many of her opponents at the light flyweight (50kg) but she used perfect tempo against the Youth World Champion Gulsevar Ganiyeva to win the final.

Tashkent region’s Feruza Kazakova won her first Asian title as a junior in 2019 and since then she earned several further titles in the ASBC events. The 21-year-old boxer defeated the Asian Junior Champion Zilolakhon Yusufova in the final of the women’s flyweight (52kg).

Andizhan’s World Championships bronze medallist Aziza Yokubova returned in shape and she bagged the title at the bantamweight (54kg) in Tashkent. The 30-year-old Yokubova used up her energetic attacks to beat Dzhizak’s Mukhlisa Khushvaktova in the fourth final of the National Championships.

Samarkand’s Nigina Uktamova has also several Asian titles as Fozilova, Bobokulova and Kazakova and she impressed in her new category, at the women’s featherweight (57kg) in Tashkent. She defeated for the gold medal Khumorabonu Mamajonova of Ferghana, a promising opponent who made surprises in the recent two years.

The Paris Olympian Sitora Turdibekova was too experienced for Karakalpakstan’s Rashida Taghirova and she bagged the title of the lightweight (60kg). The 22-year-old Dilfuza Bekova is back on track and she defeated Tokyo Olympian Raykhona Kodirova and Odinakhon Ismoilova during her road to the title of the light welterweight (63kg).

The Asian Champion and Olympian Navbakhor Khamidova was too strong for all of her opponents at the welterweight (66kg) including Aysanaem Saruarova in the final. Ferghana’s Asian Youth Champion Oysha Toirova made a successful debut among the elite boxers and she triumphed over Mavluda Mavlonova of Kashkadarya.

The two-time Asian Youth Champion Aziza Zokirova dominated the middleweight (75kg) final against Aziza Usmonova and she remained on the top of the podium. Khorezm’s young duo, Sokhiba Ruzmetova (81kg) and the 19-year-old Oltinoy Sotimboyeva (+81kg) controlled their finals against Mashkhura Soliboyeva and Diyorakhon Abdumannobova.
