Pansher, Duyshonaliyev, Isayev and Akramov were the bests at the Kyrgyzstan Junior National Championships

The Kyrgyz Boxing Federation arranged its second event in 2025, following their Schoolboys National Championships in the city of Kara-Balta, the next competition was the annual Junior National Championships.

The venue of the recent Kyrgyzstan Junior National Championships was the Kozhomkul Sports Complex in Bishkek. The number of the participating boxers was 33 female and 244 male in the Kyrgyzstan Junior National Championships.

Boxers who were born in 2009 and in 2010 were eligible to participate in the Kyrgyzstan Junior National Championships.

The women’s boxing is in increasing stage in Kyrgyzstan and nine of their young girls earned gold medals in the national event. Their Faiza Teshebayeva (46kg), Akmaral Amantayeva (50kg) and Roza Nyshanbekova (70kg) both were born only in 2010 but all of them won their weight classes with confidence.

Issyk-Kul region’s Amina Amangeldiyeva stopped all of her rivals at the women’s bantamweight (54kg) including Ayday Artykova in the final. Chui region’s 15-year-old Aydina Askarbekova moved up three categories since the last 2024 edition but she remained on the top of the podium.

Osh region’s Zhasurbek Ikromidinov was bronze medallist at the 2024 ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships in Al Ain and he joined the junior age group this January. He won five contests in the national event including the final against Nurbolsun Mavlankulov from the Batken region.

Muslim Pansher is another bronze medallist from the recent ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships and the 14-year-old boxer is now one of their most talented juniors. He boxed at the pinweight (46kg) in Bishkek and he had two tight successes in the final stages against Nursultan Zhumaliyev and Imanbek Zulluyev.

Nursultan Duyshonaliyev was a quarter-finalist at the 2024 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships in Al Ain and he amazed in his next junior national event. He outpointed all of his rivals at the flyweight (50kg) such as Ismatulla Azizbekov and Kanatbek Ismanov and Duyshonaliyev proved his strong potential for 2025.

Bishkek’s Nurislam Syrgakov caused a surprise at the light bantamweight (52kg) final when he defeated a technician boxer, Erbol Baratakhunov. Rizvan Isayev is the most talented Kyrgyz boxer in the 2010 age group and following silver medal at the ASBC Asian Schoolboys Boxing Championships, he impressed against Alazim Kudayberdiyev in his first junior event.

Osh’s Zubair Akramov won the flyweight (50kg) in the 2024 Kyrgyz Junior Nationals and he was unstoppable for Kazybek Ergeshov at the featherweight (57kg) in the new edition. Chui region’s Abubakr Duysheyev, the last year’s silver medallist, bagged the title at the light welterweight (63kg) after beating Adilet Oskonov.

Bishkek’s Aziretkhan Mairambekov switched his silver medal from 2024 into a gold at the welterweight (66kg) following his success over Burkhan Asylbekov. Chui region’s Ulan Mairambekov (70kg), Dzhalal-Abad region’s Abdygany Mukhamediminov (75kg), Dmitriy Ropa (80kg) and Bishkek’s Daniyal Myrzayev (+80kg) were the winners in the heavier weight categories.
