Asian Champions are in the finals at the Uzbekistan Elite National Championships

Several of the ASBC Asian Champions marched to the finals at the Uzbekistan Elite National Championships in Tashkent.
The Uzbekistan Elite National Championships is a selection competition for the main events in 2025 which looks another busy year for all of the boxers.
Bekhruz Kholdorov was not the favourite against the former Asian Champion Nodirjon Mirzakhmedov but he exceeded all of the expectations with his 4:1 split decision victory. The youngster will now meet for the title of the minimumweight (48kg) another Asian Champion, Shodiyorjon Melikuziev.
The dream final at the men’s flyweight (51kg) is accomplished between Bukhara’s Asian Champion Asilbek Jalilov and Tashkent region’s Mukhammadkodir Mamirjonov. Jalilov was almost untouchable for Avazjon Yuldoshev while the Asian U22 Champion Mamirjonov eliminated Abdullokh Sattorov.
Bukhara’s Shakhzod Muzafarov achieved several titles as a youth and U22 boxer and he has a strong chance to be crowned at the bantamweight (54kg). He eliminated Mirzabek Mirzakhalilov in a close contest and he will now face Andizhan’s Faryozbek Dustmatov who had a success over a teenager, Sobirjon Tastanov.
Surkhondarya’s Khujanazar Nortojiyev won the battle of the youngsters against Nodirbek Allaberganov at the men’s featherweight (57kg) but he can expect a very difficult contest in the final against the World Champion Mirazizbek Mirzakhalilov who returned with an Asian gold medal in Chiang Mai last month.
The light welterweight (63.5kg) is the most difficult category in Tashkent and finally the two highest ranked boxers joined the finals. The World Champion Ruslan Abdullayev returned after the Paris Olympics in shape and he defeated Dilshod Abdumurodov but his next opponent is also an Asian Champion, Adkhamjon Mukhiddinov.
Andizhan’s Mujibullo Tursunov and Tashkent region’s Shavkatjon Boltayev are the finalists at the men’s welterweight (67kg). The two most experienced boxers such as Khavasbek Asadullayev and the former World silver medallist Ikboljon Kholdarov advanced to the finals at the light middleweight (71kg).
Tashkent’s sensation, the Asian Champion Javokhir Ummataliyev and the World bronze medallist Alokhon Abdullayev are the finalists at the middleweight (75kg). The Youth World Champion, the 19-year-old Fazliddin Erkinboyev had the same pathway as Ummataliyev and he can meet for the gold of the light heavyweight (80kg), Nurislom Ismoilov.
Nusratbek Tokhirov caused a small surprise at the cruiserweight (86kg) semi-final when he eliminated Jasurbek Yuldashev and he has the chance to win his first elite national title against a teenager from Andizhan, Akmaljon Isroilov.
The Asian Champion and Paris Olympian Turabek Khabibullayev is aiming for his first title at the heavyweight (92kg) and he will be boxing for the gold with Madiyar Saydrakhimov who eliminated Shokhjakhon Abdullayev in a superb semi-final.
The multiple Asian Champion Jakhongir Zokirov finished his semi-final with a stoppage against Abdurakhmon Rustamov and he has the chance to repeat his national title against Arman Makhanov at the super heavyweight (+92kg).
