Uzbekistan’s amazing 2003 born female boxers marched to the finals of the Nationals

Top female finals are confirmed at the Uzbekistan Elite National Championships in Tashkent after the women’s semi-finals.
The Uzbekistan Elite National Championships is a selection competition for the main events in 2025 which looks another busy year for all of the boxers.
Bukhara’s Farzona Fozilova is the reigning ASBC Asian Elite Champion at the women’s minimumweight (48kg) and she completed her mission in the semi-finals of the Nationals successfully against Sarvinoz Koshkobova. The 21-year-old boxer will now face for the title Robiyakhon Bakhtiyorova who had a surprise success over the Asian Youth Champion Jasmin Tokhirova of Dzhizak.
The Asian U22 Champion and the Paris Olympian Sabina Bobokulova used her rhythm to catch Gulsevar Yuldosheva in the semi-finals of the light flyweight (50kg). The referee stopped their bout in the second round and Bobokulova will now meet for her next national title against Gulsevar Ganiyeva, a young sensation.
Tashkent region’s Feruza Kazakova is also a multiple Asian Champion as Bobokulova and she had a clear success over Sabina Razzokova at the flyweight (52kg) semi-final. The 21-year-old Kazakova controlled all of the three rounds and she needs only one further step against Zilolakhon Yusufova to be crowned in the Nationals.
Andizhan’s Aziza Yokubova, Uzbekistan’s first elite World medallist in women’s boxing, did not underestimate her teenage rival, Uzukjamol Yunusova in her bantamweight (54kg) semi-final. The 30-year-old Yokubova had a massive advantage on the judges’ scorecards after six minutes of fight and she finished the job in the third with heavy punches.
Another star from the 2003 age group, Nigina Uktamova of Samarkand won several junior, youth and U22 international events during her career and she moved up to the women’s featherweight (57kg). The promising star eliminated Bukhara’s Feruza Sharipova and she will be boxing for the gold medal with Khumorabonu Mamajonova of Ferghana.
The favourites of the women’s lightweight (60kg) such as the Paris Olympian Sitora Turdibekova and Rashida Taghirova marched to the finals in Tashkent. Dilfuza Bekova looked fresh enough in her crucial semi-final against the Tokyo Olympian Raykhona Kodirova and she will have another strong challenge in the final, Odinakhon Ismoilova.
The Asian Champion Navbakhor Khamidova smashed her welterweight (66kg) semi-final opponent, Marjona Ziyayeva and she will now meet Aysanaem Sarvarova for the title. Ferghana’s multiple Asian Champion Oysha Toirova will turn 19 only this year but she can prepare to her first elite final against Mavluda Mavlonova.
Dzhizak’s pride, Aziza Zokirova stopped Shakhzoda Utakulova at the middleweight (75kg) semi-final in the first round and she is the favourite against Aziza Usmonova. Khorezm’s duo, Sokhiba Ruzmetova (81kg) and Oltinoy Sotimboyeva (+81kg) impressed in the heavier weight classes.
