The record-breaking Cambodian National Championships will be held on December 23-26

The Cambodian National Championships will take place in their capital city in Phnom Penh between December 23 and 26.
Cambodia hosted the 2023 edition of the Southeast Asian Games which was the first regional multisport event in the country. The Cambodians earned not only medals in the boxing event of the recent SEA Games but also a historic gold one and half year ago.
The next edition of the Cambodian National Championships will be held for the elite women, elite men and youth male boxers as well.
Altogether 143 elite and youth boxers have registered to participate in the Cambodian National Championships in Phnom Penh which is a record figure in comparison to the previous years’ numbers. The number of the participating clubs is 28 in the most important national event in Cambodia from all regions of the country.
The women boxers will be able to participate in one weight category and eight elite girls will be fighting for that title in the national event.
The youth male boxers will compete in four weight categories while seven elite male divisions also have been added to the official program.
Cambodia hosted its National Games and National Championships in the end of 2022 which saw also top fights between the country’s best boxers. They had also a historic Referee & Judge Course during the last National Championships which was led by Mr. John Waith.
The upcoming Cambodian National Championships will be one of the selection events for the 2025 edition of the Southeast Asian Games. The next SEA Games will host the region’s top boxing country, Thailand on December 2025.
