Chinese Taipei’s Shen Sin Ai travels to Al Ain to defend her title

Chinese Taipei sent record-breaking delegations to the recent ASBC Asian Boxing Championships and the East Asian power decided to take part in the next top event with 27 of their best young talents.
The head coach of the team, Mr. Liu Tai Chun selected 13 female and 14 male boxers to the upcoming ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships which will open with its first competition day in Al Ain on August 29.
The upcoming ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships will be held in Al-Ain, United Arab Emirates between August 27 and September 10 which is the first top event after the Paris Olympics. Two age groups, two genders and Asia’s best 13, 14, 15 and 16-year-old talents will be competing for the 56 available gold medals in Al Ain.
Chinese Taipei claimed one gold and two bronze medals in the women’s part of the Paris Olympic Games where they had impressive number of six qualified boxers. Their best talents shined also in the last edition of the junior, youth and U22 competitions in Asia.
Shen Sin Ai is one of Chinese Taipei’s new sensations and hidden treasures in women’s boxing despite her young age of 16. Shen is the titleholder in the ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships and she earned a bronze medal in the 2023 Junior World Boxing Championships as well. She will return to the international competitions in Al Ain and she will make a debut in her new category, at the flyweight (50kg).
Tseng An Chi will be turning to 16 only in October, but she claimed a bronze medal in the 2023 ASBC Asian Junior Boxing Championships in Astana and in the last Junior World Boxing Championships. The strong talent moved back to the middleweight (75kg) in the previous months and she is aiming for her second medal in an Asian Championships.
Chen Fang Yu (48kg), Chou Shi Chun (52kg), Lin Yu Jun (54kg), Lin Li Jun (57kg), Kuo Yung Hsien (60kg), Tsai Chia Hsuan (63kg) and Lu Wen Jing (70kg) are also boxers who need to be watched in the women’s junior part of the championships.
Su Yin Hsu (43kg), He Ting Wei (49kg), Chang Yen Ling (55kg) and Chen Hsin (61kg) are their new national team members in the schoolgirls age group. Their best male junior boxers and the schoolboys also want to reach the level of their female talents in Al Ain.
