Berdibayev’s surprise on Day4

The fourth day of the ASBC Asian Junior Championships originally planned as a rest but the organizers decided to use up this reserve day to be held a competition session in Shymkent where Kazakhstan lost its perfect balance. Two of their young hopes were defeated by other strong Central Asian opponents in the quarter-final of the championships.

Kazakhstan’s youngest boxer in the national junior squad is Bauirzhan Amanzholov who became the first from the host nation’s team who could not win a battle in Shymkent. His opponent was Turkmenistan’s Dashoguz-based Muhammet Berdibayev who celebrated his 16th birthday in the fourth competition day with a great success, beating a Kazakh boxer in the quarter-final. Berdibayev’s next opponent in the semi-final will be Japan’s Naoto Iwai who eliminated Bhutan’s last hope in the event Norbu Dorji.

Uzbekistan’s Ulugbek Rahimov has got less contests among the members of the national junior squad but he is a native talent and it was enough to beat Tajikistan’s top boxer Mezhenov Junior Tournament winner Umed Yakubov in the quarter-final of the light flyweight class. Rahimov’s next opponent will be Kyrgyzstan’s 15-year-old Mukhammad Ravshanbek Ulu who eliminated AIBA Team’s Varinder Singh in a close contest.

Tajikistan’s two-time Dushanbe Junior Tournament winner Bakhodur Usmonov was more successful than his team captain Umed Yakubov in the quarter-finals. The 15-year-old Usmonov was enough good in the fourth competition day to eliminate China’s youngest competitor in Shymkent Chen Zexin. The Central Asian youngster will now meet Mongolia’s Junior National Champion Batbayar Mendsaikhan who triumphed over a tough rival AIBA Team’s two-time National Champion Deepak Kumar.

Uzbekistan’s Javokhirbek Karimov defeated another Kazakh boxer in the ASBC Asian Junior Championships in Shymkent on Day4. Karimov was reading in the mind of Stanislav Kalitskiy and found the best winning tactic against his powerful local rival. The Uzbek light bantamweight fighter will have the chance to be advanced to the final of the continental championships in the semi-final against Japan’s Hinata Maruta who had also birthday in the fourth competition day and celebrated with a victory over Turkmenistan’s inexperienced Bayramhan Permanov. Uzbekistan’s Suleimenov Junior Tournament winner Muzaffar Rashidov have had enough experiences to solve the style of Kyrgyzstan’s Junior National Champion Beknazar Jekshenov in the quarter-final of the 57kg weight division. Rashidov who moved down a weight class just before the ASBC Asian Junior Championships will be facing against AIBA Team’s two-time Indian Sub-Junior National Championships silver medallist Vishnu Dayanand Chayal who was too strong for United Arab Emirates’ Ahmed Al-Shamsi.

Kazakhstan’s lethal weapon Sabyrzhan Abilov robbed to the international level as a top boxer in the recent months and demonstrated his world class skills against Tajikistan’s Ismoilkhoja Kamilov. The Kyzyl-Orda-based Kazakh pride’s next opponent will be a competitive boxer Turkmenistan’s Resul Myratdurdyyev who triumphed over Kuwait’s Yousef Saeed but Abilov will be the top favourite of their contest.

Shabbos Negmatulloev is one of the best junior boxer in Tajikistan but he had to fight against Kazakhstan’s top favourite Rakhat Marzhikpayev. The Tajik boxer did his best but the Astana-based local athlete was able to beat him in their semi-final contest which means Marzhikpayev can fight for the gold against his main rival Uzbekistan’s Eldar Merzhanov who won over AIBA Team’s Aditya Maan in the second semi-final of the 66kg weight class.
