Mr. Serik Konakbayev attended at the AIBA Executive Committee Meeting in Doha
President of the Asian Boxing Confederation Mr. Serik Konakbayev attended at the AIBA Executive Committee Meeting which was held in Doha, Qatar which is also the venue of the upcoming AIBA World Boxing Championships.

Report of the preparations of the AIBA World Boxing Championships have been showed by the local organizers. The management of the Asian Boxing Confederation is happy the most important event of the year will be held in our continent once again. The venue of the AIBA World Boxing Championships will be the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena which is perfect place to held such a big event. Less than 90 days and the AIBA World Boxing Championships will began in Doha with its first competition day on October 8.

The qualification event for our men boxers is the ASBC Asian Confederation Continental Championships which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand in the end of August and the registrations to that competition are open in the AIBA Database. The management of the Asian Boxing Confederation is expected record number of competitors in Bangkok.

The new Executive Director of the International Boxing Association Mr. Karim Bouzidi presented AIBA’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program which will be launched in the AIBA World Boxing Championships in Doha. The campaign was based on several studies on the boxers’ safety which is one of the most important priority for AIBA.

Meetings of the AIBA Commissions such as Women, Athletes & Youth, Medical, Coaches, Referee & Judges Commission were also held in Doha. ASBC President Mr. Serik Konakbayev is Vice-President of AIBA and Chairman of the Athletes & Youth Commission which he led during its meeting.

Mr. Serik Konakbayev welcomed AIBA President Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu and AIBA Executive Director Mr. Karim Bouzidi and all participants in the meeting of the AIBA Athletes & Youth Commission in Doha. He said special thanks also to the Qatar Boxing Federation hosting the AIBA Athletes & Youth Commission Meeting in professional environment. The popularity of boxing in the world have grown, thanks for our new programs such as AIBA Pro Boxing and World Series of Boxing, and the innovations which holds by AIBA President Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu.

AIBA Athletes & Youth Commission proved strong commitment to boxing in the recent months. The Commission have got new strong and experienced members who will be improved the world of boxing and open for the new ideas to raise the level of boxing in the upcoming years.

During Mr. Serik Konakbayev’s presentation he has spoken about the first successful commission meeting which was held in Lausanne, Switzerland this February. He told what things they are discussed in the first meeting and also inform the members about the new planned activities.
