Mr. Aleksandr Hamidov – It is very grateful for me to be among the best Asian R&Js

Uzbekistan’s Mr. Aleksandr Hamidov was named as the second best Asian Referee & Judge during the voting of the Best of the Asians. Mr. Aleksandr Hamidov is among the youngest, most prosperous Referees & Judges in the whole world who worked at the Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships and also in several ASBC events in the recent 12 months. Family man Mr. Aleksandr Hamidov replied to ASBC questions about his work, successes and the R&J work in generally.
“It is very grateful for me to be among the best Asian Referees & Judges following my performance in 2017. It gave me more strength and motivation for further works in 2018 and to develop myself in the competitions. This important feedback shows me I need one more step to accomplish my goal, to be the best one in the Asian continent.
I believe 2017 was a success for me as a Referee & Judge as I could work in the Tashkent 2017 ASBC Asian Confederation Boxing Championships, in the Bangkok 2017 ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships and also in the Puerto Princesa 2017 ASBC Asian Confederation Junior Boxing Championships. My dream come true when I was able to judge and work as a referee at the Hamburg 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships.
Personally I think the Asian Referees & Judges are in good level and they have got all the potential to compete against any R&Js in the world. Furthermore there are a lot of strong boxers in the Asian continent in all areas, we have got a lot of competitions, which is the reason I am confident, Asian teams are powerful in the boxing world.
We will have dozens of important boxing competitions in 2018 and the most important is the Asian Games in Jakarta. Checking the 2018 Events Calendar we will have several big competitions in Asia and also in other continents. I hope I will invite to these events to part of it, work and officiate them.
The Asian Boxing Confederation is doing very well their duties leading by ASBC President Mr. Serik Konakbayev. I think the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games will be very interesting and competitive boxing events and I hope the Asian boxers will perform successfully in Japan. I wish all the bests for the boxing fans,”
