The world class Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament will be held on July 18-28 in Bangkok

The Thailand Boxing Association’s main international competition the new edition of the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament will be held in their capital city in Bangkok this summer. Thailand’s and one of the world’s biggest boxing events is scheduled to take place for the elite women and men boxers in Bangkok on July 18-28.
All of the participating boxers will be received money prizes at the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament. Besides to the best teams and all medallists, the boxers who lose their quarter-finals and preliminaries also will be getting money prizes in the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament.
The accommodation and the meals for the official teams will be provided by the Thailand Boxing Association during the event. All travel expenses must be covered by the participating teams. The teams and the delegations will be able to arrive to the Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
The women boxers will be able to attend in six weight classes at the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament: light flyweight (48kg), flyweight (51kg), featherweight (57kg), lightweight (60kg), welterweight (69kg) and middleweight (75kg).
The men’s event is scheduled to be held in eight different categories in Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament: light flyweight (49kg), flyweight (52kg), bantamweight (56kg), lightweight (60kg), light welterweight (64kg), welterweight (69kg), middleweight (75kg), and light heavyweight (81kg).
The Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament is traditionally one of the strongest Asian international events where the top boxing nations such as Cuba, Russia, China, India, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Iran, DPR Korea, Thailand, Japan, Philippines, Australia and Mongolia all attended in the recent years.
The last sixth edition of the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament was held in Bangkok on July 2018 which was a top preparation event for the Jakarta 2018 Asian Games one year ago. Thailand claimed three gold medals in the 2018 competition but Mongolia also impressed with their two titles in Bangkok where Philippines and South Korea were also able to win categories.
