The ASBC management visited Amman the venue of the next ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships

The management of the Asian Boxing Confederation travelled to Amman, Jordan to the venue of the next ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships to check all of the preparations and negotiate with the Jordan Boxing Federation.

ASBC Executive Director Mr. Ali Salameh, ASBC Sports Director Mr. Omar Saleh Al-Jaberi, ASBC Administrative Director Mr. Bassam Ghanem and ASBC Finance Director Mr. Wael Elsadig discussed all details with the Jordan Boxing Federation about the upcoming event which will be the second continental championships in 2022 after Tashkent.

The ASBC visit contained also the inspection of the hotels and venues for the upcoming ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships. The ASBC management met with the officials of the Jordan Boxing Federation including Vice-President Mr. Mazen Alqadi, Board members as Mr. Enas Hasiba, Mr. Walid Jarrar, Mr. Saleh Samar, Secretary General Mr. Basel Alshaer and Executive Director Mr. Mahmoud Alshwarbeh. The ASBC management met with the representatives of the Jordan Olympic Committee and visited the Jordan women’s boxing team in their gym.

The team delegations’ handbook of the forthcoming ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships has been introduced and sent to all of the affiliated National Federations still in the last days of December 2021. The new edition of the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships will be held in Amman, Jordan from February 27 until March 15 in 2022 four weeks after the Tashkent U22 event.

All of the National Federations have been informed about the necessary arrangements and tournament registrations for the ASBC Asian Youth & Junior Boxing Championships in time. The first competition day of the new edition will be March 2 while the finals are scheduled to be held in March 13 and 14.

Altogether 51 female and male champions will be crowned in the competition, 26 junior boxers and 25 youth athletes. Boxers who were born in 2004 and in 2005 will be eligible to attend in the ASBC Asian Youth Boxing Championships. The younger talents from the 2006 and 2007 age groups can compete in the junior part of the championships in Jordan. The registrations are open in the IBA Database and the National Federations can register the boxers until January 27. All of the national Federations can register reserve boxers in the Database and up to 16 coaches based on the number of their participating athletes. All of the coaches allowed to work in the Field of Play must be IBA certified.
