The Afghanistan Elite & Youth National Championships starts with the participation of 239 athletes

The Afghanistan National Elite & Youth Boxing Championships starts in their capital city in Kabul today to select the best boxers in these age groups. Altogether 239 male athletes are taking part in the national events including 92 youth and 147 elite boxers in the line-ups of the attending teams.
Boxers will be taking part in the Afghanistan National Elite & Youth Boxing Championships from the following teams and regions: capital Kabul, Rasikh, Panjshir, Daikundi, Nengarhar, Nen, Urdu, Balkh, Parwan, Baghlan, Moe, Herat, Police, Ghazni, Samangan, Paktia, Moph, Laghman, Paktika, Kochi, Nooristan, Takhar, Kunar, Wardak, Mohe, Shardari and Kunduz.
Afghanistan sent boxers to the last edition of the ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships to Bangkok, to the Jakarta 2018 Asian Games and one of their boxers attended in the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires in the recent days. Afghanistan Boxing Federation increased their level of activities in the recent one year to start the grassroots of boxing.
Afghanistan Boxing Federation hosted a preparation course for their AIBA 1-star Coach Course in May 7-13 and took place their Schoolboys & Junior National Championships with the participation of more than 400 boxers in August.
