Altogether 43 sports and disciplines are in the official program of the National Games including boxing as well. The official mascot and the logo of the Games is Moga, an Indian Bison which was introduced four months ago.

More than 10,000 athletes are expected to take part which means the National Games will be almost the same size as the Olympics or the Asian Games. Teams are expected from all of the 28 official states, eight union territories of India and a squad representing the Indian Armed Forces in Goa.

Andabar and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhatisgarh, Dadra-Nagar Haveli-Daman-Diu, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Ladakh, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Services, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal are the participating teams.

India earned four Olympic spots for Paris 2024 in the Asian Games in Hangzhou, their female boxers achieved all of these quotas. India’s best female and male boxers are planning to compete in the National Games which could be an important selection for them before the 1st World Olympic Boxing Qualifying Event.
