Diyor Sultonov and Saidmukhamad Gulomjoniyon won their finals by RSC in the Tajikistan’s Dushanbe Schoolboys Cup

Tajikistan’s next national event was the Dushanbe Schoolboys Boxing Cup which was hosted in their capital city to build up their grassroots from the start. Diyor Sultonov and Saidmukhamad Gulomjoniyon won their final bouts by RSC and proved their strength in the schoolboy national event.
Dushanbe is the capital city of Tajikistan and hosted the 2016 edition of the Asian Students Boxing Championships which was a great success for the Central Asian boxing power. Tajikistan attended in the recent main international events as the Bangkok 2018 ASBC Asian Confederation Youth Boxing Championships and the Budapest 2018 AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships.
The 13 and 14-year-old young boxers who were born in 2004 and in 2005 were eligible to compete in the Dushanbe Schoolboys Boxing Cup. Some of Tajikistan’s best schoolboys attended in international events in Kyrgyzstan and in Kazakhstan and had already experiences out of the country.
Tajikistan’s young hopes have got all the potential to get medals in the Asian continental level in the future. Thirteen winners were crowned in the Dushanbe Schoolboys Boxing Cup from the 30kg up to the 70kg weight classes.
The first gold medal of the whole competition was achieved by Firuz Mirzoyev who defeated Musab Samiyev in the final of the 30kg which was the lowest category in the Dushanbe Schoolboys Boxing Cup. Murodali Nazarov claimed the second gold medal in the event following his success over Saifullo Shokhrukhi at the 32kg weight class.
The third title in the Dushanbe Schoolboys Boxing Cup was delivered by Djamshed Makhmadov who triumphed over Nabijon Aliyev in the final of the 34kg weight class. Bilol Gavasov also impressed in the schoolboy event and overwhelmed Davron Abubakri in the final of the 36kg division in Dushanbe.
Akmal Murtazoyev was too quick for Sherdil Khomidov in the final of the 38kg weight class which is his first national title. Mekhrodj Fayzov has got strong family roots to boxing and his efforts were enough to beat Valijon Karimov in the final of the 40kg. Najmidin Ismoili (46kg), talented Abdurakib Fayzulloyev (48kg) and Aynidin Mukhammadi (50kg) all won their categories with good performance.
Diyor Sultonov attended in the 2017 edition of the Akelbayev Schoolboys Prizes Tournament in Balykchi, Kyrgyzstan where he fought at the 40kg weight class. One year has gone since that competition and Sultonov moved up to the light bantamweight (52kg) where he was too strong for all of his opponents and won his final against Tokhirjon Nasibov.
Saidmukhamad Gulomjoniyon stopped Firuz Safarov in the semi-final of the featherweight (57kg) and he bagged a second RSC success in the final over Ismoil Haydarov proving his power in the Dushanbe Schoolboys Boxing Cup. Abbos Kurbonov (60kg) and Faizulo Ismonov (70kg) won the last two titles of the Dushanbe event.
